Description
A SONG FOR THOSE AT SEA came to life as allegorical art here in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina, USA.
This is a digital rendering- a dreamscape (inner landscape- Fusion-Collage that offers a story, and an unfolding tale of everyday living along the coast. It symbolizes new perceptions that open to change with compassion.
Fusion Art embraces a visual landscape most appealing as it may remind the viewer that disparate parts can work together.

HOW IMAGES COME TOGETHER::
Most often, images are sketched, then painted with acrylics on canvas. I usually add interest using charcoal, pen-and-ink, or oil pastel or pasted bits. After all this comes together, I take a photo of that collage. Next, I transfer the composition to Photoshop for digital rendering.
Now, the process of layering and manipulation takes place. Sometimes this happens quickly, but more often, it takes place over days, or weeks... . Finally, the paintography image emerges. It can be a lengthy process, but, eventually, it comes together reminding me, as Picasso said, “The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls.”
Generally, you will find in my fusion art collages any number of hidden characters.
All of my fusion art and contemporary abstract images feature many, many, many layers blended for "pasted effects" to reveal - through pattern, texture, and light- a visual narrative about life on our blue planet that welcome your interpretation.
ARTIST’S NOTE:: “These images may lead you to imaginative, emotive spaces where north and south meet east and west. A mindful philosophy and the use of technology can intersect and connect at a center to become vehicles for narratives about life on our blue planet. As we, each of us, and as a collection of living creatures face the fraught process of selection every day, may we find what is positive and possible.” ~ Zsanan
