ASHEVILLE- BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAIN MOON RISE
the cliffs that "speak of vanishing time" ~ Billy Collins
I am here in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina-- where the sentinel peaks of The Blue Ridge Mountains " speak of vanishing time"--and overlook the confluence​ of the French Broad river (racing north) and the Swannanoa (flowing west) -- feeling inspired.
The clouds surround the studio this early morning. The temperate rainforest is speaking--calling me to walk the trails, travel the mountain coves, ​ ​follow those rivers to creeks and waterfalls and stretch up to ​where the ​tall hemlocks live--and share the images nature provides.
Hope this brings you a sense of joie de vivre .
Here, from one of my canvases (acrylic)- I borrow bits --then, from a photo I took of ​one Asheville scene converted on canvas​ (accentuated with ink​) I create a mixed media collage.​
