ASHEVILLE- TUBING THE RIVER

I am here in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina-- where the sentinel peaks of The Blue Ridge Mountains overlook the confluence​ of the French Broad river (racing north) and the Swannanoa (flowing west) -- feeling inspired by a verse from Billy Collins- what would it be like to be a"bar of soap spinning around the bathtub" ?? .

The clouds surround the studio this early morning. The temperate rainforest is speaking--calling me to walk the trails, travel the mountain coves, ​ ​follow those rivers to creeks and waterfalls and stretch up to ​where the ​tall hemlocks live--and share the images nature provides.
