“Cactus Flowers”
Inspired by the sunset on cactus flowers --and the original PHOTO of one of a bloomings taken during a visit to Santa Fe, New Mexico-- this image was first a watercolor that was built on a neurographic sketch.
The image you see here was then created as a digital renedering here in my studio in Asheville, NC. as a contemporary digital rendering. I have the sense that it could work well to bring a heartbeat of color to a special spot-- a s a design your bring into textile art or wall décor.
It follows my thread of interest in living things and nature that runs through what I paint on canvas, or on paper, or in a mixed media format.
