"Cupcake Merry Go Round" is pure fantasy but it all started with a PHOTO! --two photos, actually- one of a giant cupcake my dear friend gave to me, and another of a horse...that came together in an abstract expressionist collage...(you may have to look closely to see the horse) ...
It is “frosted” with metaphor expressed via texture, patterns, repetition. I like to think you will find a feeling of lyrical possibility in the elements. Possibly, there will unfold that sense of collaboration that happens when shape and color narrate the concept. ( I create visual narratives from what is around me- make sketches into canvas work, then take a photo creating a mixed media digital rendering such as what you see in this piece.)
