Description

DRIPPING WET is the second in my series of oil pastels in blue and gold. It is an acrylic painting. You may imagine a windblown figure, or an umbrella whipping about as coming to life here in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina, USA. -during a huge rain storm.

This image- is also a dreamscape (inner landscape.) I like to think that it offers space for the viewer to interpret the story being told. - with its elements of blue and golden and bold stokes with a geometric -abstract flare... . a narrative that builds on an unfolding tale ... .

For me, BLUE LADY symbolizes a sense of joy of life, new perceptions that evoke positive change, the embracing of an inner - symbolic-mythic- visual landscape.
