"Gone Fishing"
GONE FISHING is a photo-painting in the relaxation, renewal and caring series. Each of the images and scenes in this collection was digitally painted, but they began as photos taken while on vacation at the ocean’s shore in North Carolina. I used vivid hues to express both the story implied and a longing for a deep breath. I wanted to create a vibrant visual impression.
"Gone Fishing" is an abstract expressionist / figurative abstraction piece. It tells a story of life in full color and invites you to discover your own expression of this visual tale. I hope you will find a connection here - linger awhile, possibly start a conversation about the elements - spaces, lines, textures and rhythms and contemporary themes that speak to you.
This image began as a photo of a fishing dock in Florida. After ink work that I added to a pen-and ink sketch, it took shape on canvas –(acrylic)- later to be photographed once more.
