Description
"Guardian of the Studio"
Paintography- ( enhanced pet photography - a new adventure for me)- from a photo I took of my beloved furry companion as he sat observing the creation of a canvas at my studio here in Asheville, North Carolina.
The Story: After two of my adopted dogs - with me for more almost two decades - crossed the “Rainbow Bridge” I didn’t think I could go through another heart wrench and had pretty much decided not to adopt another dog- that is, until this awesome creature showed up, tail held high and wagging mightily....and he "rescued" me when I adopted him.... Here is my tribute to his joie de vivre and to that of dogs with their quirky senses of humor that delight people around the world.

THANK YOU
In this piece, I am leaning on a Post-Impressionist, Fauve treatment to communicate that “joie de vivre” in warm colors, and bold patterns within the canvas. Here’s to your dog(s) and ours!
This piece creates its narrative via texture, patterns, repetition with references to "lyrical abstraction.” These elements meet to offer a feeling of coming together as the collection of concepts and forms take shape.
** This artwork is available in a variety of framed and unframed gallery-quality prints, home décor items such soft and durable duvet covers, fabric shower curtains, and throw pillows as well as greeting cards and weekender totes.
***Grateful for showing your support by liking my work here. thank you.

I lost my dog after 16 years recently, so I appreciate your photo description and love of dogs. Living on a small island in Hawaii, vets don't seem to stick around. One day I will find another dog to adopt. Love this image and description Zsanan. Congratulations, your image is featured in the Space Between group. Happy Thanksgiving!
Zsanan Studio replied:
Dear James...I just found your note...will write you a personal note, but want to let you know there are no words to describe the experience of losing your dog...Much caring is sent your way.
