“Knight Watch Guardian of the Roses”
This digital rendering began as a photo of my beloved cat who watched each step of the canvases I painted late into the night. The original photography turned into contemporary paintography here in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina.
Symbolism-Story: : In this paintography piece, the juxtaposition of the color of chocolate with bits of chartreuse symbolizes positive change through envisioning different perspectives. There is a sense -possibly through the vigilant eyes of the cat- that observation of and care for the things around us leads to mindfulness and compassion.
