“Midnight at the Museum, Giant Clay Pot on the Edge “ is the 3rd in this series.

It is a digital rendering from a painting on paper turned to an abstract expressionist / figurative abstraction piece created right here in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina.

This piece then emerged as a PHOTO of that very enormous clay pot that sits by my studio door, and sometimes is perched on the edge of the table.

SYMBOLISM: For me, tis great clay pot represents abundance. It also is a symbol of pure potential. It tells a story of the enormity of possibility within an enclosed space. Completed as part of Artists During COVID-19, it also offers the unique colors of that time.

This narrative art in new media mixed media format – (my combinations of pencil, ink, paint, photo work and textured applications) – that all unfold in this “collage” of color and texture. Whether on paper, canvas, or as a digital rendering, I hope you will find the piece interesting as “contemporary mixed media art” that celebrates art in many forms and the joie de vivre it offers.
