MYCELIUM IN CONVERSATION-TREES ON A WINDY HILL - Neurographic Art Series
NEUROGRAPHIC ART - this image, with a nod to nature was hand drawn with pen and ink here in my studio in Asheville, N.C. It uses blends of watercolor in gentle brush strokes to add emotive "zest" that one might imagine in the conversation between trees on a winndy hill.
NEUROGRAPHIC ART--"Also known as doodling, neurographic art is a technique, which comprises drawing freeform lines or 'neuro lines. ' These are meant to enable the connection between the conscious and unconscious, gaining access to the inner self by using a specific algorithm or method.":
YOU may see a human figure reaching to the branches in the tree for support in a storm--or you may see wings of wind--or there may be a spring bulb about to burst near the roots.
As always, my theme is lyrical abstraction--an eclectic collage-- fusion art, mixed media, simultaneously sparse and exciting because it combines textures and shapes of recognizable objects into patterns that spark the imagination.
It is an effort visually to narrate the place --beyond time -- where an angular abstract landscape can harmonize with the curving natural and logic meets emotion --in the space of possibility –first, from a sketch-- then to watercolor and/or acrylic on paper or canvas --then, photographed and digitally rendered.
