"Oliver Pings the Alluring Vase" started as a photo of my mischievous cat. What was he up to NOW?... toying with a bouquet in a vase below him right here in my cabin in Asheville, North Carolina. I had to laugh out loud and create the scene as paintography as I alluded to the humorous perspective in this image. This is figurative abstraction with an nod to comedy. There is also a nod to nature -to life- to all living things. .. where the visual story refers to the fraught process of selection we each face every day.
