“Quiet Blessing”
This is a post-painterly abstract paintography piece and a digital rendering from my original photography of a cactus flower!! as viewed from studio here in Asheville, North Carolina. This contemporary paintography art continues the thread of interest in Nature that runs through what I paint on canvas, or on paper, or in a digital way.
The visual story with its combination of curves and triangular geometric shapes emphasizes the fraught process of selection we—each of us-- face every day—that being the choice to look closely for possibility in what is around us.
Theme and Symbolism: : In this paintography piece, the juxtaposition of color with changing light symbolizes positive change through envisioning different perspectives. One of the pieces in the “Santa Fe” collection,it features.a variety of strange shapes, spines, and showy flowers of cacti .
