Artist's Description
"Rainbow Despite Nightfall"
"Rainbow Despite Nightfall" comes from a photo of ominous skies and a violent storm over the Blue Ridge Mountains in the “Land of Sky” country near my studio in Asheville, North Carolina. It seemed to be perfect for a mug and was created with that in mind.
Later this very image inspired a canvas –(acrylic.) Soon it was photographed once more. At that point, it evolved into modern contemporary -(new mixed media-) paintography. When I took a photo of the canvas and subjected it to the whims of my muse-(and computer)- in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina the result was a digital rendering that you will find in other formats.
