SUNRISE AT THE ANIMAL SHELTER- ON HIS ADOPTION DAY
I did this digital abstraction from a photo of my friend's dog and canvas I was working on. n I was imagining a dog I would adopt. That was a year ago - art composed in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina. Now, a year later, a wonderful dog who looks almost exactly like the one in this image has come to his furr-ever home with me.
Whether as a digital abstractionist, working as well on canvas and with photography to produce mixed media images, my hope is to engage the viewer. My thought is that visual impressions, founded on simple or more complex designs, can carry a narrative that can build on an promising tale of everyday living.
SUNRISE AT THE ANIMAL SHELTER- ON HIS ADOPTION DAY symbolizes a sense of joy of life, transitions, new perceptions that evoke positive change, the embracing of an inner - symbolic-mythic- visual landscape.
