THE LIGHT AT SOLSTICE

This is an emotional piece created for my friend who lost her husband at winter's edge but who reminded all of us of the circle of life and the coming of light at winter solstice. I created this image here in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina from a PHOTO! This narrative art in new media mixed media format – (a combination of pencil, ink, paint, photo work and textured applications) – that unfolds in a “collage” of color and texture.
