“Under the Umbrella” is the first photo-painting in this series on summer fun, relaxation, renewal and caring. Each of the umbrellas and seascapes in this collection were digitally painted, but they began as PHOTOS (!!) taken while on vacation at the ocean’s shore in North Carolina. I used vivid hues to express both the story implied and a longing for a salty and deep breath of joie de vivre. . I wanted to create a vibrant visual impression.
