How it Happened: This design for the holiday season began as a photo of ornaments on a tree I took one winter's day. Back in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina it emerged through digital paintography to become the image you see here As I translated the photo into mixed media format, I reached out for the story and metaphor utilizing digital manipulation to create the narrative as texture, patterns, repetition, and "post-painterly-abstraction fauve-wave" bits to create a collage.
This artwork is also available in a variety of framed and unframed gallery-quality prints, home décor items such soft and durable duvet covers, fabric shower curtains, and throw pillows as well as greeting cards and weekender totes.
