WE ALL LIVE DOWNSTREAM --series-
This is an oil pastel and acrylic painting done while visiting the San Juan Islands off the shores of Washington State, USA- that came to life art here in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina, USA.
SYMBOLISM: The ebb and flow of life. I like to think that this image offers space for the viewer to interpret the story being told--one that can carry a narrative as it builds on an unfolding tale of everyday living in contemporary life on Earth. WE ALL LIVE DOWNSTREAM No. 2 carries the message of UNITY.
The color psychology- The palette symbolizes a sense of calm in the storm and renewal of joy of life, new perceptions that evoke positive change, the embracing of an inner - symbolic-mythic- visual landscape.
This piece may have a particular appeal as the visual narrative for, in the distinct areas of the painting, it can reveal that even disparate parts CAN work together.
