WIND'S SONG TO AN ANCIENT TREE
from the Neurographic Art Series

NEUROGRAPHIC ART - this image, hand drawn with pen and ink here in my studio in Asheville, N.C., I was sitting on the mountainside when a rush of wind surprised me- it seemd to have a voice. It inspired this piece.

WIND'S SONG uses blends of watercolor in gentle brush strokes to add emotive "zest" that one might imagine in the conversation between trees on my winndy hill.

NEUROGRAPHIC ART--"Also known as doodling, neurographic art is a technique, which comprises drawing freeform lines or 'neuro lines. ' These are meant to enable the connection between the conscious and unconscious, gaining access to the inner self by using a specific algorithm or method.":

As always, my theme is lyrical abstraction--an eclectic collage-- fusion art, mixed media, simultaneously sparse and exciting because it combines textures and shapes of recognizable objects into patterns that spark the imagination.
