WINGS No. 2 -WILD SKY -is mixed media collage inspired by a photo I took looking over the French Broad River here in Asheville, North Carolina. of my oil pastels, photographed and taken into photoshop for digital rendering .
Although It all came together here in my studio and is an example of digitized--"art-tech-block-and-carve” practice I am always seeking to develop..
I’m attracted to that technique because it can bring together bits from my original art to create a collage, digitally-rendered. Also, the elements, both abstract and organic, become “fusion art” with the objective of story telling.
In this case, the visual narrative - is a metaphor for life, and symbolizes new possibilities, engagement-- and the prospects in an ocean of joie de vivre.
