WINGS No. 5 "Winter Sailing Friday Harbor" - -is mixed media collage of my OIL PASTELS plus acrylic on canvas to the digital rendering
Here is lyrical abstraction-- a fusion-collage-- simultaneously sparse and exciting. It is an effort visually narrate the point where logic meets emotion. In that place, change with compassion can be unbound. Although it came together in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina, it started –first, from a sketch- to acrylic on canvas then, photographed and digitally rendered.
THEME:: Landscapes
Landscapes (inner and outer) offer the opportunity to bring together slices of my original art in a collage, digitally-rendered. Blended elements, both abstract and organic, become a “fusion” lyrically abstracted and ripe for story telling.
In this case, the narrative is about facing challenges-- a visual metaphor for life as we know it. It symbolizes engagement and possible joie de vivre.
