This image is from an original piece I did upon request from a member of the wine society in Seattle, WA, USA. He asked me to enter a canvas for a contest. Although the piece was completed here in my studio in Asheville, N.C., (canvas is acrylic-- bold Fauve)- it felt alive in the Seattle mists because of the palette treatment.
Selected: “Boutique de vins Français"- was chosen to be displayed with the Enological Society WINE FAIR in Seattle.-- perhaps because the still life painting's very strong colors --reminiscent of Matisse and Van Gogh -- has appeal .
