"Flying the Waves with Apollo"
"Flying the Waves with Apollo" is figurative abstraction rendered as paintography. It is a mixed media piece that evolved from a canvas I painted, then photographed here in my studio here in Asheville, North Carolina.
There is that bit of joie de vivre as the dolphin surfs along with the sun (Apollo.) So, this piece continues a theme that runs through my work : The fraught process of selection we—each of us-- face daily—and a choice to look for pure possibility and delight in what is around us.
