Artist's Description
"On the Wings of the Sun" (series) - The Sea and the Beach
Struck by our reliance on the sun as I took a photo of an awesome sunrise over the mountainside at my cabin,I was inspired to create this series entitled "On the Wings of the Sun." After an ink sketch that same sunrise took shape on canvas –(acrylic)- later to be photographed once more. At that point, it evolved into modern contemporary abstract -(new mixed media-) paintography. When I took yet another photo of the canvas - this time subjecting it to the whims of my muse-(and computer)- in my studio in Asheville, North Carolina, the result was this abstracted digital rendering.
