Description
"CAN SPRING BE FAR BEHIND ”
Original photography of a huge tree- recorded as a beautiful memory - converted in the studio in Asheville, North Carolina- turned to contemporary paintography art via the thread of interest in trees and nature that runs through what I paint on canvas, or on paper, or in a digital way.
The visual story emphasizes The Fraught Process of Selection we --each of us face-- every day-- to take good care of all living things. SYMBOLISM: UNITY IN DIVERSITY: We are alike in so many ways- yet unique in our perspective. This image evolved from a photo I took as the wind was whipping up –distracting me in my studio- making noises I’d never heard –creating, I imagined, twirls and swirls in four directions. I had to capture that moment in a photo. This digital paintography evolved from that very photo. Using specialized digital techniques, I then added color-tones to express the sounds the dance and the emotion. There are patterns and shadows and deepening expanses that may evoke the sense that something intriguing is on the horizon.

THANK YOU !!!!
Like many viewers, the energy cycle of living, breathing, earthly things amazes me. For me, this Paintography- coalesces my fascination with the colors and hues, stories and metaphors of changing seasons . When the snows depart and the birds return, what lies beneath stirs. There are symbolic references here-- to the theme of rebirth and renewal. The tiny pansies refer the viewer to renewed hope and love and romance and blooming and individual growth. Some say this is both the promise and nature’s teaching of a very dependable unfolding of change with compassion. This digitally manipulated photo-art tells the story of springtime- of renewal and vitality hopefully giving viewers a visual impression of change with compassion.
** This artwork is available in a variety of framed and unframed gallery-quality prints, home décor items such soft and durable duvet covers, fabric shower curtains, and throw pillows as well as greeting cards and weekender totes.
