"Pure Possibility"
Original photography of a forest scene in soft light as viewed from my studio in Asheville, North Carolina- then turned to contemporary paintography art via the thread of interest that runs through what I paint on canvas, or on paper, or in a digital way--that being the pure possibility nature affords us.
The visual story emphasizes The Fraught Process of Selection we—each of us-- face every day—that being the choice to look for Possibility in what is around us. This piece supports those impacted by the COVID-19 virus.

This image was a surprise to me. I had been working with a combination of photos of petals, digitally manipulating the image when as if by sheer luck, the sun rose to the north. I had to admit this was pure possibility. I added one of my favorite quotations from Emily Dickinson..."I dwell in possibility" to the piece which is unlike the color palette of other "prayer flags" you see here. This one remains one of my personal favorites to this day. Zsanan Studio Notes.
